Setting the Record Straight on Dublin’s Growth

David Haubert, Mayor of Dublin

Mark Twain is credited with the expression, “a lie can travel around the world and back while the truth is still lacing up its boots.” Or something like that...

My Track Record of Service, Experience & Success

David Haubert, Mayor of Dublin

As a young man, I learned the fruits of service from the boy scouts. It was challenging and full of tough decisions. It’s not always easy for teenagers to volunteer or develop unique...

Why I’m Dedicated to Dublin

David Haubert, Mayor of Dublin

For nearly two decades, I’ve committed my energy and time to serving the City of Dublin. From school board member, to city councilman, and now Mayor...

Safety First

David Haubert, Mayor of Dublin

As a husband and father, the safety of my family comes first. From the days of picking up my children from scraped knees, to watching them buckle up and drive off for school, nothing is more important than their safety.

PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO WATCH THIS

Locally Elected Leaders Who Endorse David Haubert for Dublin Mayor:

The election is upon us and absentee ballots are already in the mail. I created this video to share many of the things I love about Dublin and some of the accomplishments we've made together these past four years while I've been Mayor. Whether its improving older parks, building new ones, attracting new businesses, investing in public safety or supporting our schools, Dublin is a great place to live, work and raise a family. I fought hard to make it that way and loved every minute of it. I also wanted to thank the many elected officials and individuals who have endorsed me and hope you'll consider joining them.

VOICES FROM THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL

Here in America local leaders are elected “of the people, for  the people and by the people” and I love that!

One of the things I love about elections and campaigning is the extra time I get to spend talking with members of the community, walking the neighborhoods, knocking on doors, and candidate
forums. Some of the things I hear aren’t new, and some get reinforced with personal contact. Here are some of the things I’ve heard and some of the things I promise to do about them.

COME ON DUBLIN, YOU’RE BETTER THAN THAT

Dublin has rightfully earned a reputation as one the best places to live and raise a family not only in California, but in the country. I’m proud to be a part of building that legacy.

But election season is upon us and political deceit and campaign tricks used to be stories we heard about in other towns or on the news –definitely not here in Dublin.

Yet, strange things have been happening around here and it’s a tad bit too early for Halloween shenanigans.

More of my lawn signs have gone missing than ever before. And a local Political Action Committee (PAC) is placing derogatory and negative signs, mostly in illegal locations.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but as a community, we must reject negative smear campaigns. Hate only breeds hate.

TRI-VALLEY MAYORS ARE UNITED

I am humbled and grateful to have served these past four years as Dublin Mayor. During this time, we have made so many wonderful accomplishments, building new parks and recreational facilities, bringing in new businesses and increasing economic prosperity city-wide.

I am proud to announce that I have now been endorsed by all surrounding Tri-Valley mayors from Danville, San Ramon, Pleasanton and Livermore. They recognize and value me as regional leader.

Dublin is a great place to live, work and raise a family. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. And it takes hard work and dedicated leadership to make it that way and to keep it that way.
