DUBLIN, CA — A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned Saturday morning to celebrate the grand opening of Dublin's twelfth school. Construction on the campus began in October of 2016.

Cottonwood Creek K-8 will officially open for back to school on Aug. 14., according to a district spokesperson. More than 800 students will attend and almost 58 people will work at the school.

Dublin Mayor David Haubert and Dublin Unified Superintendent Leslie Boozer are scheduled to attend the ceremony. The new campus is located at 2400 Central Parkway in Dublin. More than 11,000 students attend school in the Dublin Unified School District.
